Josh has been a geographer with the U.S. Census Bureau since 2005 and served as a subject matter expert for tribal geographies, statistical areas, and Island Area geographic operations.  

He has served as a member of the United Nation’s Expert Group on the Integration of Statistical and Geospatial Information since 2018, contributing to the development of the Global Statistical Geospatial Framework and other projects.  

He is currently serving as chief of the International and National Engagement Branch of the Geography Division and leading the Statistical Grids Project to begin producing official gridded census and estimates data.
