Reed Van Beveren is Deputy Director of Technology at the Environmental Policy Innovation Center (EPIC), a national nonprofit focused on speeding up environmental progress, where he leads a variety of projects to help government agencies, their partners, and the public better leverage environmental data. Prior to joining EPIC, Reed spent 8 years at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) reviewing federal government programs as part of the Natural Resources and Environment team. His work at GAO included major reviews of EPA’s air quality monitoring program and technology transfer at multiple agencies, and building a community of practice focused on better use of data, tools and analytics. Reed holds a Masters of Public Administration from Cornell University, where he focused on science, technology, and infrastructure policy, and BA in International Political Economy from Georgetown University.
